Setup the Google Nest device

This section only describes the steps required to use Google Nest Mini/Hub with HOMETACT.
For other settings and operations, please refer to the "Get started".

●Knowledge
Smartphones that will be configured with Google Nest devices must connect to the network using the Wi-Fi to which the Google Nest device is connected.
If a different Wi-Fi or carrier data line is used, the connection may fail.

Tap to select the house you set up in "Setup the Google Home app" and tap the "Next".

Tap the "Settings" and turn the Bluetooth permissions switch to On.

Device detection will start.

If the device detection does not start, the Bluetooth function of the smartphone itself is turned off. Open the settings page of your smartphone and turn on the Bluetooth function.

When the message "Nest Mini found" is displayed, tap the "Next".

If the message "What are you setting up?" is displayed, the Nest mini failed to be detected. Tap "Not now" to adjust the position and try again from step 1.

For the Google Nest Mini Hub, tap "Scan code" to scan the QR code displayed on the Hub screen.

When the sound plays, tap the "Yes".

When the sound does not play, adjust the position and tap the "Try Again".

Tap the "No thanks".

Tap to select the location where you want to install the Google Nest Mini, and then tap the "Next".

Tap to select the Wi-Fi you want to connect to, and then tap "Next".

Enter your password, then tap the "Connect".

The message "Connected" is displayed and you are now connected to Wi-Fi.

Continue with the setup of the Google Assistant, following the instructions displayed in the application.

If you get a connection error, check that your Google Nest Mini and smartphone are connected to the same Wi-Fi and that the password is correct.

Select your language and tap "Next".

When you have finished setting up Google Assistant, an icon will be added to the home page.
For Google Nest Mini Hub, tap "Finish setup" on the screen. This completes the setup of Google Nest.
